Subscribe to your sessions
Add your Careering sessions to your own calendar once, and moves and cancellations follow on their own.
Your sessions can live in your own calendar app as a calendar of their own, called "Careering sessions". You subscribe to it once. After that, every session you book appears in it, and when a session moves or is cancelled, your calendar catches up without you doing anything.
Where to find it
Go to your Sessions page in your account. Subscribe to your sessions is at the bottom, under your list of sessions. It has three controls:
- Open in Apple Calendar or Outlook asks the calendar app on your phone or computer to subscribe.
- Copy address copies the address, for calendars that want it pasted in, such as Outlook.com and Google Calendar.
- Reset link gives you a new address and stops the old one working. There's more on this under Keeping it private, below.
Adding it to your calendar
Apple Calendar on an iPhone or iPad. Tap Open in Apple Calendar or Outlook, then confirm Subscribe.
Apple Calendar on a Mac. Choose Copy address. In Calendar, choose File, then New Calendar Subscription, and paste the address.
Outlook.com. Choose Copy address. In Outlook on the web, open your calendar, choose Add calendar, then Subscribe from web, and paste the address.
Google Calendar. Choose Copy address. In Google Calendar on a computer, choose + next to Other calendars, then From URL, and paste the address.
If you added a session with its Add to calendar button before you subscribed, you'll see that one twice. Delete the copy you added yourself and keep the one in Careering sessions.
What you'll see
- every upcoming session, however far ahead
- your sessions from the last three months
- a cancelled session, marked as cancelled, for a month after it was cancelled
A session appears once it's booked and paid for. The calendar is read-only: to move or cancel a session, use your Sessions page as usual. Moving or cancelling a session
How quickly it updates
Your calendar app decides how often it checks for changes, not us:
- Apple Calendar checks anywhere from every few minutes to once a week, depending on its settings.
- Outlook.com checks roughly every few hours.
- Google Calendar can take up to a day.
So a session you've just booked or moved may take a while to show. Once your calendar has fetched it, booking emails stop carrying the Add to calendar button.
Keeping it private
Anyone who has the address can see the sessions you've booked, including the times, who your coach is and the joining links. Keep it to yourself.
If you've shared it by mistake, choose Reset link and confirm. The old address stops working straight away, everywhere it was added. Remove the old Careering sessions calendar from your calendar app, then subscribe again with the new address.
If you close your account, the address stops working too.
